In April 2019, our U21 Chantilly team travelled to the United Kingdom for an elite player showcase tour, designed to expose our athletes to the professional English football environment and international competition.

High-Performance Training

The squad trained at Derby County FC, experiencing first-team level standards, professional coaching methods, and the intensity required to compete at the highest levels of the game.

International Matches

Our players tested themselves against top English opposition, competing in showcase matches versus:

• Sheffield United
• Northampton Town FC
• Macclesfield FC

These fixtures challenged our group tactically, physically, and mentally—providing invaluable experience against professional academy and senior pathways.

Professional Club & Stadium Experiences

To complement the on-field showcase, the team immersed themselves in the culture of English football with behind-the-scenes visits and live match experiences:

• Stadium tour at Old Trafford (home of Manchester United)
• Stadium visit to Etihad Stadium (home of Manchester City)
• Attended a live match and completed a stadium tour at Stoke City FC

This UK showcase reinforced Chantilly’s commitment to long-term player development, international exposure, and preparing athletes for the next level. Beyond the matches, players gained first-hand insight into the professionalism, facilities, and expectations of English football—an experience that continues to shape their development on and off the pitch.
